As a scarce top-grade high-end apartment beside the Huangpu River, the unique location and favorable environment play a bigger role in the overall image and positioning of The E18 Riverside. The project is situated just ten minutes’ of drive from the Oriental Pearl Tower, with nine 17~18-story high-rise residences (penthouses) and one club. In façade design, the architect managed to enhance its quality by adding a metal layer between stone and glass to show respect to history and environment. Such technique was applied for the first time in high-end real estate projects in Shanghai back then.
The overall planning consists of three layers: entrance space, public space and cluster space. The tower follows a magnificent and spacious principle, with subtle changes in details as well as solemn and intriguing presence. The two large-depth landscape axes of 150m create an incomparable luxury experience. The water landscape as the finishing touch links the entrance square and cluster landscape with the main axis, unfolding layer by layer.
The entire image of the project is succinct, powerful and well-proportioned with rhythmic texture. The primary and secondary façades are harmonious with rich variations, good materials and exquisite craftsmanship. To be specific, the primary façade chose chic giallo veneiiano imported from Brazil, while large-area copper-like metal architraves and window grilles add a sense of classic taste. From proposal, house type, façade proportioning to construction control, the project always adopts the “millimeter-level” fineness as its standard, and can be hailed as a first-class work that has fully presented its design values.
