The Majestic Mansion is located on the south of the Hangzhou Xixi National Wetland Park with Tianmushan Road, the No.1 Scenery Boulevard in Hangzhou, on the north, and the beautiful Laohe Mountain on the south. It has fabulous natural landscape and rich humanistic spirit.

There are two purposes in choosing neoclassical style in such an idyllic setting. Firstly, we hope to improve the landscape with the historic sense of the neoclassicism which has rigorous proportion and precise and delicate details. Secondly, we must admit that the sense of worth reflected by this particular style in this project could help us to target the high-end market.

The hill side site is excavated and leveled in order to increase FSR while still meet the height limit regulation for the buildings surrounding the Xixi Wetland. To create a rigorous but lively space pattern, in the overall layout, the regular enclosed courtyards are interwoven with crossed landscape axes, and the north-south axis has slight changes in elevation and some minor rotation.

The village has a delightful scale and space with moderate privacy. It has neither the noisy disturbance in a large residential community, nor the loneliness in the suburb villas. This is an elegant living neighborhood with rich cultural ambience in a unique idyllic Jiangnan landscape.
