海宁百合新城是至2012 年为止海宁市区最大的住宅区，建设总量达76 万平方米。基地被文宗路和文苑路分隔为西、中、东三个区块。西区是排屋、合院及独栋住宅区；中区为多层公寓和部分高层公寓区；东区为高层公寓区。住区的中心规划有商业街，作为附属的商业服务设施。
The Haining Lily New Town is the largest community in Haining by 2012, which has a building area of 760,000 square meters. The site is divided into the west, middle and east zones by Wenzong Road and Wenyuan Road. Low-rise townhouses, courtyardhouses and single family houses are in the west zone. Multi-storied apartment buildings and several high-rise apartment buildings are in the middle while the east zone is occupied by high-rise apartment buildings. At the center of the neighborhood is a shopping street, part of the supporting commercial facilities.
The east zone is a regular site of 14 hectares. The master plan is to build five residential clusters with courtyard along all four sides and at the center of the site. The central cluster stretching towards the west emphasizes the main east-west axis. The main entrance is at the west end of the main axis while on the east end are the club house and the reflecting pool. Both east and central clusters are surrounded by looped vehicular circulation, along which entrances of underground parking are provided so as to separate vehicles from pedestrian inside each cluster.
The community commercial center provides a daycare, a club house, restaurants and entertainment facilities as the supporting commercial and service facilities. It is divided into the east and west zones by Wenzong Road. In the east zone, a long stripped pedestrian street unfolds from north to south, and ends at a semi-closed commercial plaza at the south end. This is a series of casual space. In the west zone, along the neighborhood road are a club house and a daycare of which echo the commercial plaza.
The designated architectural style of this project is Mediterranean. Massing organization, scale control, and proportion deliberation are more rigorous, while the overall color tone tends to be quiet and calm. The shopping street has a warm color tone with red terracotta roofs and grey stone façade.
Large area of hard paving, distinctive water features and randomly sprinkled plants in the landscape design create a casual and pleasant commercial environment, while matching with the architectural style. The extraordinary night lighting design also provides the commercial plaza an extreme rejoice atmosphere in holidays. The best part of creating the commercial center is being able to deliver a relaxed, pleasant and vibrant commercial environment through planning, architectural, landscape and lighting design.
