翡翠城商业中心位于杭州翡翠城东北区块的西南侧,也是翡翠城住区的中心地带。由于住区周边的生活配套设施十分匮乏,商业中心的建设对推动整个住区的发展和成熟起到至关重要的作用。

从设计之初,我们就已积极地参与到商业的策划中,将其定位为:解决当时急需的商业配套,并应对全区建成以后的商业服务问题;既有独特的建筑风格,又能与日后建成的大型住宅区相互融合。而最终确定的方案是:功能不同的2-3 层建筑单体,各自独立或采用连廊联系;通过步行街和半围合式广场相结合的空间模式,将餐饮、超市、零售、休闲健身、婴童早教、精品酒店等各项必需的商业功能有序地组合起来,并按需求分期实施。

我们希望创造轻松、愉悦的商业活动氛围,并且有效控制建筑成本,因此地中海式的建筑风格显得十分贴切。在建筑群中,错落有致的红色坡屋顶、明快的米黄色涂料外墙、简洁浑圆的线脚、连续的拱门、长长的廊道、马蹄形窗、看似随意的青藤植物,以及建筑师亲自设计和甄选的铁艺栏杆、壁灯、挂钟、座椅等装饰物随处可见。

目前,商业中心主体已于2009 年投入使用,位于西北端的精品酒店尚在设计过程中。


The Hope Town Commercial Center is located on the southwest side of the northeast part of the Jade City. It is also the central area of the Hope Town. Because of the lack of the supporting facilities, the commercial center plays a very important role in promoting the development and completeness of the entire community.

From the start of the design, the architects had been actively involved in the commercial planning which was to provide urgent commercial facilities in a prompt way; to respond to the commercial service issues after the completion of the entire community; to create a commercial style with unique characters which also has the potential to match the style of the large residential community which would be completed at a later stage. The final scheme was to provide 2-3-storeyed buildings with different functionalities, either independent or connected with verandas; to connect all the essential commercial elements, such as restaurants, supermarket, retail stores, recreational and fitness facilities, early education center, boutique hotel, etc., with pedestrian streets and semi-enclosed plazas. All these facilities can be implemented in phases as needed. 

In order to create a casual and pleasant commercial environment and effectively control the construction cost, we adopted the Mediterranean architectural style. The buildings have pleasantly ordered red sloped roofs, bright beige painted walls, concise and rounded moldings, continuous arches, long verandas, horseshoe-shaped windows and seemingly random Ivy plants. Decorations such as iron railings, wall lamps, wall clocks and seats were designed and selected by the architects, and could be seen everywhere.

The main part of the commercial center was delivered in 2009. The boutique hotel on the northwest end is still in the design process.
