The Bund Garden is located in the Dongjiadu area of Huangpu District, a mere 1.7 km north of the Bund Financial District. Nearby is Laochengxiang (the Old City), a living testament to Shanghai's century-long urban development. The design seeks to create a residential experience that weaves architecture and landscapes while integrating culture and living, drawing inspiration from the historical and cultural setting.

The north facade of the Bund Garden overlooks the intersection of Fuxing Road and the Bund, making it a prominent display surface. Along the site's perimeter, four 100-meter-tall residential buildings maintain a continuous urban interface. The building facade draws inspiration from the Haipai heritage, infusing it with a contemporary twist. Employing a triadic composition, the facade achieves a dynamic lateral rhythm. The combination of light beige and dark copper aluminum covings adds a touch of modernity while maintaining a classical temperament. The large 2.5m-tall window panels provide residents with breathtaking panoramic views. Guided by a modular system, the architectural details, such as tower covings and corridor eaves, adhere to a consistent design language, celebrating the rigorous aesthetics in classical architecture.

Inspired by the "garden villa" residential prototype in modern Shanghai, the design crafts a garden experience that blends nature and culture at a near-ground level. Encircling the central garden, several themed small gardens intersect with low-rise buildings, including clubhouses and lobbies. This integration facilitates a smooth transition between indoor and outdoor spaces, providing residents a resort-like ambiance. These courtyards preserve relics of the past, such as ancient trees and remaining architectural elements. The residential lobbies on the ground floor are oriented to face various landscape features, resembling a "floating jewelry box in the landscape."
