Lakeside Mansion's design was completed by the end of 2019, an early practice exemplifying GOA's "Living Community" concept. The project is nestled within the Jinsha Lake CBD in the Qiantang New District and enjoys a prime location south of Jinsha Lake Park, separated only by an urban road. At the same time, a short 500m stroll along the lakeside leads to the entrance of Jinsha Lake metro station.

The north parcel interface defines the residential boundary and serves as Jinsha Lake Park's south display, contributing to an accessible urban waterfront area. Instead of erecting a conventional fence, the design introduces a vibrant commercial street. This commercial street contains approximately 6,000㎡ retail and community facilities. Its spatial arrangement departs from common commercial podiums by incorporating multiple pocket gardens, street corner squares, and second-floor terraces for leisure and relaxation. The main residential entrance is strategically located within the middle section of the commercial street. Following a sequence of "street-courtyard-garden" from the commercial street to the residential entrance, the design enables commercial activities and peaceful living to coexist.

The horizontal layout of the north-facing living rooms maximizes the lake view. Integrating full-height glass windows and balconies connects the lake and the community. The architectural style is reminiscent of the elegant Jiangnan flavor. The light cantilever slabs blur the boundary between indoor and outdoor spaces. Additionally, the commercial podium features pitched roofs interspersed with terraces, fostering an intimate and lively ambiance.
