On October 18, 2018 (German Time), the awards ceremony of ABB LEAF Awards 2018 was held in Frankfurt. GOA was invited to attend the ceremony with three shortlisted entries. Its ALILA Wuzhen and He Restaurant were shortlisted for the ABB LEAF Awards in the category of Best Hospitality Building - Future & Completed for their impressive regional characteristics, and exquisite and eco-friendly designs. Nanjing Tao Hua Yuan was shortlisted for the ABB LEAF Award in the category of Best Residential Building-Multiple Occupancy for its successful combination of public community experience and natural landscapes.



The ABB LEAF (Leading European Architecture Forum) Awards is one of the most important international architectural design awards programs in the world, with the mission of identifying, celebrating and honoring the best architectural projects worldwide. The Awards are mainly presented to innovative architectural designs, and are dedicated to celebrating and recognizing the most influential projects and individuals in the architecture field, and facilitating the world’s most avant-garde and innovative designs to be true paradigms for the world to follow.

16 esteemed architects served as judges of the ABB LEAF Awards 2018, including Sir Peter Cook and Andrew Brombery. The Awards received entries from nearly 100 most influential architectural firms in the world. Sir David Chipperfield, a distinguished architect, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Zaha Hadid Architects received the Annual Best Project Award. Well-known architectural firms, including GOA, Steven Holl Architects, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, UN Studio, B.I.G., were shortlisted for 16 awards at the ABB LEAF Awards 2018.
