On November 18, 2016, the Architectural Society of China released the results of the Habitat Eco Int’l Architecture Planning & Design Competition 2016 in Xiamen. GOA was honored with the award of Top 10 Design Firms of the Year. Besides, its four entries also won awards in different categories for design innovation and improvement.

The jury consists of distinguished experts and scholars, including Song Chunhua, former Deputy Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Zhou Chang, member of the Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China and editor-in-chief of Architectural Journal, He Yuru, chief architect of Beijing Institute of Architectural Design (BIAD), Li Dexiang, professor with the School of Architecture, Tsinghua University, Li Xiaojiang, former president of Chinese Institute of Urban Scientific Planning and Design, Liang Wei, chief planner of Walton Design & Consulting Engineering Co., Ltd. (WDCE), Tetsuya Okusa, Executive Director of Mitsubishi Jisho Sekkei Inc. and Head of Design Group, Stephan Rewolle, partner at von Gerkan, Marg and Partners (GMP).
