Pinghu Spring Breeze is located in Longmeng Village, Guangchen Town, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. The construction of Phase-1 and Phase-2 Chinese-style courtyard residences is part of the overall planning of Pinghu Spring Breeze Town.

Phase 1 consists of one or two-storey Chinese-style courtyard residences. The courtyard is the core of each household’s living space. Overall, the main road running from the south to the north divides the residential area into the eastern and western clusters, between which there’s a village core as the shared space for neighborhood communications and interactions. Within each cluster, streets and lanes connected to the main road frame each courtyard residence and become the second space for neighborhood communications and interactions. 

Overall, Phase 2 also features streets and lanes integrating the neighborhood and connected to the main road. The courtyard is also the core of each household. Moreover, to allow residents more opportunities to commune with nature per unit of land area in their own residences, the designers create a new Chinese-style residence type – the stacking courtyard residence. The downward stacking type is a two-storey detached multiple-courtyard residence composed of the first floor and the bottom one, while the upward stacking type makes use of scaling of the construction size, and boasts a spacious and scenic southward courtyard. Stacking courtyard residences are located in the center of the plot, while two- or multiple-floor Chinese courtyard residences lie on the outer periphery to ensure a continuum of Phase-1 and Phase-2 buildings in terms of external appearance.
