On October 21, 2017, the 2017 World Association of Chinese Architects Awards Ceremony organized by World Association of Chinese Architects (WACA) was held in Foshan, Guangdong. GOA’s architectural designs for ALILA Wuzhen and Qingshan Park (Yun’an Town) were awarded the 2017 World Chinese Architecture Creation Excellent Prizes.



World Chinese Architecture Design Awards

Since the creation of World Chinese Architecture Design Awards by World Association of Chinese Architects (WACA), the biennial awards ceremony has been held for five times, respectively in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015. The awards program celebrates excellent architecture designs, and recognizes remarkable architecture designs by Chinese architects worldwide. It receives great attention from Chinese architects, architecture experts and scholars worldwide, and an increasing number of architects showcase their excellent works through the platform of World Association of Chinese Architects (WACA).

The awards committee focuses on the innovativeness of all entries. Specific evaluation criteria include social responsibilities, humanistic concepts, cultural characteristics, historical value, ecological environment, new materials, environment protection and energy conservation, innovative spatial layout, innovative shapes and forms, architecture techniques and technologies. After a rigorous preliminary evaluation, a review and a discussion, 6 entries were hand-picked as the winners of the 2017 World Chinese Architecture Creation Prizes.
