X FLASH is an exhibition launched in combination with Gravitational Field 2018, a large-sized public art project. It is scheduled to be open to the public free of charge from December 8 to 27, 2018 at the front square in the west of the Power Station of Art (PSA).
During the period, three sets of spatial structures created by GOA in collaboration with students from Tongji University, Southeast University and China Academy of Art will be showcased at the site. In addition to that, a wide variety of interesting artistic and cultural activities will be organized to spice up the atmosphere and provide visiting citizens and tourists with unique experiences.

Gravitational Field is a non-for-profit public art program launched in 2015. It is planned by curator Jia Bu, and Wang Yan, Principal of GOA. This year sees its 3rd edition.
Each year, a public square is singled out as the venue of Gravitational Field, and a set of spatial structures of aesthetic and functional value are designed by architects. During the period of the event, a wide diversity of public cultural activities are organized to attract the participation of local citizens.
This year’s Gravitational Field is comprehensively upgraded. Major installations are completed by GOA in collaboration with students from the College of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University, the School of Architecture of Southeast University and the School of Architecture, China Academy of Art. In accordance with the spatial characteristics of the square, three sets of spatial structures are designed, which are divided into three functional areas respectively named “Theatre”, “Exhibition” and “Leisure” with a total area of 500 square meters.

X FLACH
X Flash is a brand-new exhibition brand launched by XiBu. Normally, a group exhibition involves multiple artists sharing time and space. By contrast, at X Flash, while artists share time, they each have their own space. Each artist is allowed to have the exhibition space to his/her own for one day. In this way, information is disseminated and attention is concentrated.

On each day during the 20-day exhibition period from December 8 to 27, there’s only one artist holding a creative exhibition for just one day. In this way, X Flash enables you to experience new things each day, including interesting devices, behaviors, images and interactive works. You can even post what you see at X Flash on WeChat Moments, thus attracting all attention from your friends.
