Greentown Yiwu Phoenix Villa is distinguished by its hotel-inspired communal spaces and the seamless integration of architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture. Responding to the site’s changes in elevation and irregular boundaries, the design creates a series of immersive, hotel-quality shared spaces where architecture, interiors, and landscape flow naturally into one another. These spaces become a defining feature of the residential experience, offering a new approach to communal amenities in low-density developments.

The project takes “Jade Floating Above a Lotus Pedestal” as its central spatial concept, bringing the three design disciplines together under a unified vision. Architectural volumes and boundaries are deliberately softened, allowing interior spaces to merge with the surrounding landscape and topography. As residents move through the development, carefully composed views unfold in sequence, each shaped through the precise coordination of architecture, interiors, and landscape. Together, they create a continuous and immersive spatial experience.

Traditional Eastern aesthetics are reinterpreted through a contemporary architectural language that emphasizes the interplay between nature and the built environment. A gradual transition from heavier forms at the base to lighter elements above progressively reduces the perceived mass of the buildings, allowing the architecture to recede into its surroundings. Cultural motifs on the façades and the wayfinding system were also developed under the architects’ unified design direction, ensuring coherence across scales and preserving the integrity of the overall design.
