The Robam Headquarters features an integrated architectural, interior, and landscape design by GOA. Reaching a height of 180 meters, the project redefines the skyline of Hangzhou’s Linping Economic and Technological Development Area (Donghu New Town). As an industrial headquarters landmark rising from a brownfield renewal site, it establishes a distinct, customized identity apart from conventional commercial office towers.

The master plan establishes a ceremonial, axially symmetric composition, integrating a newly constructed super-tall tower and podium on the north side with retained existing buildings on the south. The main tower and podium feature an enclosed courtyard layout. To the south, a circular sunken courtyard seamlessly connects with the retained structures, forming a well-ordered hierarchical architectural landscape system. Within the main tower, an internal garden atrium echoes the exterior landscape, weaving a multi-dimensional public space across the campus that delivers a vibrant, highly comfortable working and leisure environment for employees.

The vertical circulation of the tower utilizes a split side-core configuration positioned along both flanks. By employing a truss transfer system, the gravity loads from the upper column grid are transferred down to four primary structural columns in the lobby. This structural scheme completely liberates the ground floor, creating a 14-meter clear-height, north-south transparent lobby while enabling maximum flexibility for spatial reconfiguration on the office floors above.

The building massing cleanly responds to its internal programming, wrapped in a soaring facade articulated by slender metal profiles. Horizontal spandrel extrusions create a rhythmic cadence while acting as external solar shading, unifying passive performance with architectural expression. The podium extends this visual language through stone, extruded aluminum, and expansive glass curtain walls, complementing the main tower. Lightweight, ultra-flat aluminum honeycomb and stone honeycomb panels are deployed across large spans to preserve facade integrity and elevation quality. With an elegant palette and high-tech poise, the Robam Headquarters stands as a dynamic, forward-looking corporate landmark in Hangzhou's Linping district.
